The Masterton Christmas Fair is Masterton South Rotary's Major Fundraising Event.
The Fair gives Masterton South Rotary the ability to support many community groups and charities, not only in the immediate area but also throughout New Zealand and abroad.
- International Scholarships - Masterton South Rotary sponsors youth exchange students internationally.
- Leadership - Masterton South Rotary sponsors young people to leadership development courses throughout New Zealand.
- Family Focused Initiatives - Te Omanga Hospice, the Cancer Foundation, RYDA Road Safety Education programme.
- Neighbourhood support program - Masterton Food Bank appeal.
- Foundation literacy - We continue to help with literacy and providing children with the tools they need to succeed including In-school reading programs, Books for Babies, Dictionaries in Schools, Books to Rarotonga Schools.
- Science and Technology - Masterton South Rotary sponsors young achievers to Science & Technology forums throughout New Zealand and sponsors a Wairarapa Schools Maths Competition.
- Shelter Boxes - Major disasters have all Rotary Clubs sending vital supplies to local and international destinations.
- Health in the Pacific Islands - Masterton South Rotary headed a project to outfit a bus as a Mobile Health Clinic and transport it to Rarotonga.
- Ongoing Community projects - Masterton Dog Park, Masterton Mini Putt and Masterton Sunday Market.
- Previous community projects - the transplant of the Hospital Chapel to the new Wairarapa Hospital, the planting of Millenium Reserve, building the toilet blocks at Henley Lake, KidZone playground.
- Support of Community projects - Masterton South Rotary has contributed to and supported many local community projects such as the Masterton Men’s Shed, Masterton Netball Courts refurbishment, Wellington Free Ambulance Masterton base build, support of the swimming programme for refugee women, Shearer’s Museum, Genesis Swimming pool.
